Sure looks like my old Parker Hale 30:06. Best gun I ever owned.

I love wood stocks.  Most shooters go for synthetic nowadays, which makes sense; but I just can't fall in love with plastic.  I traded my 700 BDL in 30-06 for the  Mark V in 300 Win Mag in the pic.  I'll find out today how well it shoots.

Although, I do have something wrong in my head I think ... sighting in a rifle in -15 C .

Looks like my old P&H .303.  I could manage a 3 inch group at 250 yards with it. (prone position, and handloads) Knocked down a few moose, deer, and coyotes with it.

Wood stocks nowadays can be a real problem, but with a Weatherby I doubt they use anything but top grade wood. I've heard of shooters buying wood stock Remingtons and Kimbers, and they weren't happy with the quality of the stock., some even warped.

I bought a cheap 30-06 a few years back, with a synthetic stock, hated it,kicked like a mule.
  What's the scope, Leupold,Zeiss,or Swarovski?

Nothing special for a scope for now.  It's a Bushnell Elite series 3.5 x 12 with parallax adjustment.  By next fall I'll have a Gold Ring VX-7 on ... or some other similar Leupold.  I'm partial to Leupold.
