IF,shortly after seeing this fellow,you dropped him and now have a freezer full of elk meat,I am consumed with envy!
My younger brother,whom I usually hunt with, carries a video camera,and the last two seasons got some excellent up close footage of big bull moose,which we didn't have a limited entry tag for.
I've applied for elk LEH's in the past,but never got one,though I've seen a few big bulls like that one at a long distance.
I didn't take the vid; and if I had it would have included the bull being bagged. I've taken 4 elk and rate them the best eating venison. Listening to them call in the early morning is one of my favorite experiences. It also amazes me how quiet they can be in thick brush once they know that humans are around.
